When warehouse space is limited,both VNA and Double Deep Racking can increase pallet storage capacity.However,they use different approaches and are suitable for different warehouse operations.
VNA Racking
VNA,or Very Narrow Aisle Racking,uses very narrow aisles to maximize floor space.Specialized VNA forklifts are normally required.
Its main advantage is high storage density with direct access to individual pallets.It is suitable for warehouses with many SKUs and frequent pallet access.
Double Deep Racking
Double Deep Racking stores pallets two positions deep,reducing the number of aisles compared with standard selective pallet racking.
It offers higher storage density while maintaining relatively simple warehouse operations.However,accessing the rear pallet requires moving the front pallet first.
